PATTERN DETAILS

Summertime! It's June and parks and campgrounds fill quickly with nature loving vacationers. The scenes depicted in this pair of mug rugs come straight from my memories of the summer we camped in the mountains. This pattern contains four pages of instructions with photos. It includes full size templates for the children, puppies, skunk, and other pieces, as well as full size layouts of each of the mug rugs. The layouts show placement of applique pieces and the lines where embroidery is used. You will find that these mini-quilts are very easy to make. The sewing goes quickly, and the mug rugs will add a bit of traditional whimsy to a coffee table or desktop. If you have any questions or comments, please send an email to me at: klee2strings@gmail.com. I would love to see photos of your completed work in the completed projects section of this pattern page. When I retired from a lifetime of teaching in 2007, I was worried that I'd quickly get bored. That concern didn't last long at all. I was thrilled to discover that there really is life outside of the classroom. I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I'm a teacher at heart, so I do try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes. I make myself easily available to my customers, and I respond to all questions as quickly and as thoroughly as I can.
