A contemporary design perfect for showcasing your favourite prints! This pattern makes a perfect "I Spy" quilt for a child's bed. You can use either two charm packs or cut your own charms from yardage. The design includes an accent block (framed in an alternative colour) as well as an accent strip in the binding, this helps to move the eye from one side of the quilt to other. The alternating orientation of blocks and different block sizes helps to create movement in the quilt, to create an exciting, dynamic design. This is a versatile design - play with colour and value in the block borders to completely change the look of the quilt. I chose a dark, rich brown to frame the striking Charley Harper prints, and opted for a bold red accent block border. The pattern also includes instructions for using two alternating block border colours, instead of having one accent block. With no seams to match this is a forgiving pattern that will give you a taste of how satisfying it is to create a quilt.
