Fussy cut a beautiful motif in a hexagon shape, interface it and then applique it to a ring of quick-stitched half-hexagons for a lovely table mat or table runner. There are no set-in seams. All straight seam sewing. Easily cut both the half and full hexagons with a multi-sized 60 degree ruler (paper templates are included). BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Accurate 1/4" seams are important SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 10" x 13" blocks; 20" x 28-1/2" runner

  • Four different 3" strips with good contrast OR Two 3" strips each of two fabrics 1/4+ yard for center hexagons (fussy cutting a motif may take more yardage) Four 10-1/2" x 13" rectangles for lining each block Four 7" squares lightweight interfacing 5-1/2" x 8" piece of freezer paper Monofilament thread Top stitching thread Four rectangles of batting Multi-sized 60 degree rulter (Creative Grids 8-1/2" ruler is tall enough) Paper templates are included for cutting both the half and whole hexagon.
