Pattern Details

I'm a Halloween baby (born Oct. 31st!) so this holiday has always been a treat for me. I love machine applique and this pattern is beginner friendly and makes a great Halloween wall hanging to decorate with - or a cute baby quilt for any other Halloween babies! It's perfect for larger orange scraps and you can always customize the background color to match your decor. I custom quilted my border and you can do the same or use a cute Halloween fabric for the border and backing. Happy Halloween finishes at 26" x 31". Be sure to click the blog link which includes my printable tutorial for adding a rod pocket and binding a wall hanging. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Finished size: 26"x31"

Sunday Best Quiltworks
I've been a professional quilter for over 40 years, sewing and quilting since early childhood with my grandmother and my mother. I currently own Sunday Best Quiltworks, which was named one of the Top Ten Shops in the Country by Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler magazine in 2013. We design our own line of patterns, stencils and templates. I assisted the Columbus Museum in documenting their Permanent Quilt Collection, taught a Columbus State University Continuing Education course All About Quilts, was an Assistant Quilting Instructor at the John C. Campbell Folk School, an Olympic Quilt Project volunteer, and a Georgia Quilt project volunteer documenting quilts. I was commissioned by the Georgia Quilt Project to create two copies of the 1998 Winter Olympic Games Nagano gift quilt, one of which was presented to the head of the Nagano Quilt Project and the chairman of the Board of Brother Sewing Machine Company. My Sunburst Quilt was featured in numerous publications including Quilter’s Newsletter Magazine 4/98, The Olympic Games Quilts America’s Welcome to the World from Oxmoor House 1996, A Quilt for the Promised Valley from Sanpete Publications 1996, and GEMC Georgia Magazine 11/95. Over the years, I've completed numerous custom quilts and projects, organized, participated in and judged dozens of quilt shows and lectured at numerous clubs and societies on dating antique quilts. I've been a member of the Georgia Quilt Council, the American Quilter’s Society and the GALA Quilt Guild. Through Sunday Best Quiltworks, assisted by a fantastic group of local volunteers, we continue to make and donate quilts to local charities throughout our community. I love quilting and hope to inspire and encourage other quilters.
