Gift Scrapped, an oh-sew-simple project, is a terrific way to use up leftover bits of Christmas fabric. It's happy and bright and all things Christmas should be. The blocks build quickly using strip piecing methods. You can make one to use as a placemat, or keep going and do a table runner or lap quilt. Pattern includes directions for all three items. The sample quilt is 51" x 62", which is a perfect size to snuggle under near the fire, but the pattern adjusts easily to other sizes by adding or subtracting blocks. There is no seam matching, and colour selection is simplified by random scrap placement in the quilt. The blocks for the quilt shown were pieced in an afternoon. The pattern contains colour illustrations and piecing diagrams and is formatted to letter size paper for easy printing. There are no templates involved, it's all rotary cutting. The instructions have been thoroughly tested by multiple pattern testers, all with successful results and enthusiastic comments on the design.
