PATTERN DETAILS

Grannie 'G' has combined a western Bearded Iris with a Chinese lattice design for this stunning block. Large enough for a single block wall hanging, or combine as a center medallion for a larger piece. If the Asian influence isn't for you simply add a piece of stem and leave off the lattice and you still have a stunning Iris. Each pattern has horizontal and vertical center lines to assist in placement of the full sized and numbered pattern on the background fabric. Step by step instructions describe the basted needle-turn method for applique, the most portable of applique techniques. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Hand applique or fuse SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 20" X 36"

Geraldine Richardson - Grannie "G" Applique After Geri Richardson attended her first quilting course, she knew she had found the medium that would allow her to marry her technical skills as a land-planning drafter and natural artistic abilities to create inspirational works of art. Passionate about the craft, she eagerly absorbed the typical needlework techniques and common patterns used. Always one that colored outside the lines, Geri’s vision, however, was for something different. Having found her preferred medium, Geri worked to find techniques that would allow her to craft her innovative designs. Her passion for the art and natural determination caused her to rediscover a long-lost quilting technique that has allowed her to make her inspirations a reality. In 2002, Geri successfully launched a pattern design company, Grannie G Appliqué.
