As the theme of these mini quilts was originally to showcase how to make our computer station more quilt friendly; I designed "cat and mouse" and "mac and me". The third one to fit into this technology theme was inspired by the Windows logo. Since my wish was to enlarge this concept and represent my flag; I updated my original design that now includes fifteen different flag styles. These styles will each be available separately; to keep the cost the same as the other mouse pad designs. Most include variations from the original style to show you how easy it is to adapt the style to similar flag designs. [E] FIVE-PIECE DESIGN: Featuring--THAILAND This design has five main pieces. The flag base is split into five different horizontal parts (#11, #12, #13, #14, and #15). If you so desire, try placing the white rows to overlap the red rows; and place the blue row on last. This will make it look like you started with a red piece, added white, and then blue. This pattern includes instructions and all template pieces for each variation where pieces differ from the featured flag style. Both variations include instructions on how to add logo images using Photo Fabric. [Variations: Belize and Uganda] BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY If you know how to sew a straight line using a sewing machine, you can quilt. There are many simple methods to create complex looking designs. All you need is to learn the techniques to create them. For machine applique, you learn to use fusible web and fancier stitches, such as the zigzag and buttonhole stitches to finish the raw edge technique. If you are uncertain about fused machine applique, as a fun technique to add to your quilting repertoire; try it with either of my free patterns: [Sweet Roses-size: 23" x 23" or My Pod-size: 9" x 7"] SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Mini quilt - finished size: 9" x 7"
