Combine ten of your favorite black and white fabrics with a trio of brights to make a bargello-style quilt that pops with color! You will create "strata" of 2" strips and then cut them into various widths to create your design. Bargello-style patterns usually rely on color runs mostly from one color family that go from light to dark. In this quilt, you'll use primarily black and white for the color progression and toss in brights to spice things up! Cindy Grisdela Art Quilts
Hi, I'm Cindy. I've been sewing almost all my life--my favorite thing is playing with piles of brightly colored fabric. I sewed all my own clothes as a teenager, and I fell in love with quilting after I made my first one in my twenties. I enjoy combining great colors and interesting free-motion stitch textures into unique contemporary designs. From my home base in Reston, VA, I exhibit and sell my work in shows all over the country. Follow my fiber journey on my website and blog at or on Instagram @cindygrisdelaquilts My new book, Artful Improv: Explore Color Recipes, Building Blocks & Free Motion Quilting was released by C&T Publishing in October 2016.
