I really enjoy making simple, fun things! This project came to me as I walked down the ink aisle at my local craft store. I saw a color wheel ink box and realized that it would be a cute quilt! I came home and created this easy project as a result. The fabric is fused to the batting, so you only have to quilt the fabric to keep it from shifting. Edge stitching makes the raw edges look finished but is only my preference! No binding is needed with this technique either! This applique technique is used to create a table mat/candle mat or mug rug in various layouts, a pillow, quilt blocks, signature blocks and more... Let your creativity loose! :) Quiltinjeni BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Use your sewing machine Trace and cut out templates Use your iron to fuse materials Change feet on your sewing machine Use interesting stitches on your sewing machine SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Tablemat - 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" Pillow - 18" x 18" Block - 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" unfinished

Quiltinjeni is a quilting instructor/pattern designer/fabriholic and stay-at-home Mom of three! I enjoy making things to give as gifts and love fabric and hand-made items. I have been crocheting since I was 12 years old and quilting for the past 11 years. I began teaching quilting techniques in 2004, designing patterns in 2006 and have been published in Asian Fabrics Magazine (issue #10 and #11). My favorite part of quilting now is the quilting and binding of a project. I currently quilt on my Bernina Artista 200. :) I look forward to improving my machine quilting skills as time goes on and hope to win a national competition someday! See for other interesting stuff! :)
