This paper-pieced block is based on a barn quilt displayed outside the Mitchell County Historical Society Museum in Bakersville, North Carolina. The vibrant pinks and greens evoke a dogwood blossom -- the official flower of that state! Pattern pieces are included for both a standard 12” block and an oversized 40” block that works great as a baby quilt or wall hanging. Stick with pink and green, or mix things up with whatever colors or patterns you choose! Note: This block requires paper piecing and making half square triangles. Instructions on these techniques are not included, but can be easily found online if needed.
