Recycle your old jeans to make a user friendly Denim Picnic Blanket! This is a blanket to be thrown on the ground for a picnic, fireworks or other outside activity. Keep one in your car. It can come in handy when the weather changes unexpectedly! Great to use for a little extra cushion on outside bleachers at sporting events too. In addition to recycling your jeans, you can recycle flannel shirts or pajama pants like the blanket on the front of this pattern. Or use up some of your stash of fabric scraps! This quilt is made using a quilt as you go technique so there is no separate backing or binding. There is no batting in this blanket so it's technically not a quilt but it's still very warm and cuddly! Since there are so many sizes and styles of jeans, two methods for making this blanket are included in this pattern and two charts to guide you in choosing what size quilt you can make based on what size your jeans are.
