PATTERN DETAILS

Christmas in July...or not? is a very versatile pattern. I love applique and chose to use an Anni Downs fabric line called '12 Days of Christmas'. Anni also has a line called 'Love to Garden' which would be perfect too! Here is a link to her website where you will find her fabrics. http://www.hatchedandpatched.com.au/ In the USA, you'll find Anni Downs fabrics at the Buggy Barn ... here: http://buggybarnquilts.com/ If you don't like to applique...you can simply fussy cut some adorable fabrics and eliminate the circled appliques all together. See the photo of my Little Red Riding Hood quilt. Too cute! This pattern comes in a small wall hanging size or a nice size lap quilt. Ready for Christmas in July...or not?? BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY basic quilting skills. Applique can be done by hand or machine. laugh yourself into Stitches*
Back in 2009 i purchased a used Gammill longarm quilting machine in hopes of making a little extra $ to help send my sons to college. Oh wow! I never imagined how much I would LOVE my new adventure! Before that, I was a full time stay at home mom, volunteering in just about everything...even the local quilt shop. You'll find me in the 2002 Quilt Sampler magazine, just my picture, nothing more. lol :) I believe those days fueled my passion and here i am today, longarm quilting for clients, teaching classes at local quilt shops, and designing patterns. You'll find more about me and my work on my quilting blog: laugh yourself into Stitches* http://chezstitches.blogspot.com/ Other than hit by the quilting bug...i love antiques, repurposing junk and digging in the dirt... but most of all, spending time with family...nothing better than that! Update: In March 2015, i sold my Gammill friend (it was a sad parting!) and bough a new Innova Longarm with an AutoPilot. Most of my longarm work is stitching all over pantographs for clients. The AutoPilot allows me to get off my feet (they were getting tired) while it stitches the pattern. I love my Innova too! It gives me the ability to continue quilting free hand too...which i love!
