This 40" square wallhanging features four 16" blocks that are made with a combination of machine piecing and hand or machine applique with bias tape. The pieced block pattern is known as Bright Hopes or Patience Corners, a traditional pieced design that Scarlett enhanced with bias tape applique. The center square of the block can be a fussy cut print, inkjet printed fabric, another small pieced block or an embroidered block. The bias tape can be all one color or multiple colors of tape, your choice. An easy design to do with bias tape, it creates a unique plaid look and can be customized depending on your fabric choices! Links have been provided in the pattern to recommended videos with detailed instructions on how to make bias tape using several popular methods. Resize this quilt by making more blocks for a larger wallhanging or any bed size quilt. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Basic machine piecing SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 40" square wallhanging
