The Carolina Wren is the state bird for South Carolina. This block is one of the applique blocks I did for my 'Symbols of Our Unity' quilt. The entire quilt can be seen on my website, The pattern includes the layout and step by step instructions for making the block. All embroidery instructions are included with detailed drawings. Both left and right handed instructions are included. There is a tutorial for back baste applique on my website. This 8" finished block fits perfectly in a 12-1/4" mini-quilt for the Ackfeld Table stand. It would make a fabulous gift for that someone special who lives in South Carolina, or loves birds.
