This quilt was made several years ago for my little boy. He has been always in love with any kind of bugs and, of course, he was a candies eater too. At night he used to catch fire flies, put them in a jar, and take them to his room. He was my inspiration for the quilt. I went around several quilt store to find the right prints and in the blink of an eye I got the perfect quilt for him. This pattern will make every little boy happy...and maybe a little girl too. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Sicily (Italy). I have being interested in arts and crafts since the young age of 8, when I learned to crochet, knit and sew. I graduated from college with a Master's in Geology and started my own consulting company. However, I've always made time for my hobby. I think my artistic ability comes from my father, who was a terrific artist. There wasn't anything he couldn't paint. I actually fell in love with the art of quilting after I moved to Montana 15 years ago. After making challenging patterns designed by famous quilters I decided to try designing patterns of my own. I have been designing patterns for about 7 years. I initially made my quilts for myself and my kids, but I was encouraged by my husband and my friends to start my own company and share my patterns with other quilters. I also love digitizing. If something catches my eyes I try to put it on fabric or embroidery
