I love listening to babies learning their first words, don't you? My Baby Talk quilt starts with the simple, traditional log cabin block. Four 18" blocks will finish to a 41" by 41" baby quilt but just add more blocks for a larger quilt. Then customize your quilt with baby's name, nic name, first words. Pattern includes complete instructions for easily and quickly constructing log cabin blocks and full upper and lower case alphabet for appliques. I've also included some "baby talk" words to give you a few ideas. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Patchwork straight stitch, machine or hand applique, machine or hand quilting. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Finished quilt-41" x 41"-can be easily enlarged by adding more blocks

I guess crafting and needlework of all kinds was in my blood since birth. My Mom, Aunts and Grandma always had a project in the works of some sort or other.
