Every year in Homer Alaska we have a shorebird festival. People come from all over Alaska each year to participate in this festival. They enjoy viewing the birds, learning about their habitats, and taking some wonderful photographs of a variety of species of shorebirds, what fun! This festival inspired my new baby quilt design- Shorebird Festival. The quilt measures 38" x 47" with 12 nine inch blocks. A fabric chart is included with fabric suggestions for making this quilt. I used colorful pastel fabrics in a variety of colors that would compliment the shorebird theme. On this whimsical quilt, you will find sand dollars, seashells, starfish, and a variety of shorebirds. The patterns are easy to work with and the quilt could be made in a weekend. Make sure you have a color cartridge in your printer before downloading .
