My daughter ask me to design a quilt for her little boy, my grandson, with a nautical theme. She is really big into genealogy and wanted his name somewhere on the quilt. I researched his last name on the internet and designed this pattern which I call "A boys 'Imagination" Sail away for an adventure with a brave little knight. A combination of nautical and magical stirs the imagination with thoughts of dragons, castles and mythical ships in an old world theme. You can personalize your little boys' quilt by embroidering his ancestral name above his coat of arms. If you don't know how to embroidery, make this block first and take it to a shop that does embroidery, while you work on the remaining blocks. Thanks for taking a peek at my shop, KinderGarden Designs. I love making quilts, but my real passion is designing them. Designing unique patterns that would appeal to the imagination of a child inspires me. I was in education for 17 years with a degree in early childhood education. I taught kindergarten for 10 of those years, hence the name KinderGarden Designs. I have a beautiful little granddaughter Sydney, who has inspired many of the quilts I've designed. I would love to see a picture of your quilt when your project is complete. It's fun to see the fabric patterns and colors that make the quilt uniquely yours. Vikki
