PATTERN DETAILS

This is the third pair of blocks for 2016's B.O.M. wall hanging. The theme is cats, and the quilt is named "Kitty Craft". In this quilts cats will be found in the craft room doing what cats are bound to do. The larger of these blocks is a 12" x 12" appliqued block in which the cat has found the sewing room. The companion block is a vertical grouping of four friendship stars. The friendship stars can be traditionally pieced or made with included templates for paper foundation piecing. With a pretty border, either the kitten block or the combination of the blocks could be used to make a lovely mini-quilt. The pattern is detailed and illustrated with numerous photos and diagrams. Instructions for how to do paper foundation piecing are not included. Please contact me if you come across any questions or snags while using this pattern. I'll be happy to help in any way I can. When I retired from a lifetime of teaching in 2007, I was worried that I'd quickly get bored. That concern didn't last long at all. I was thrilled to discover that there really is life outside of the classroom. I spend parts of most of my days indulging in my favorite hobbies of quilting and sewing. I started designing patterns as an experiment, and no one was more surprised than I was to find that other people liked my little designs. I'm a teacher at heart, so I do try to write my patterns in such a way that beginning quilters can follow them. I include lots of details, photos, and little informative notes. I make myself easily available to my customers, and I respond to all questions as quickly and as thoroughly as I can.
