This quilt was made as a gift to my most special great-aunt. She and I have always shared a close bond, even though we never had a lot of time together. I'm sure memories of looking at her "magical" garden and watching hummingbirds flocking to her feeders as a little girl greatly influenced my love of hummingbirds, roses, and gardening! Aunt Ruby most certainly enjoyed her quilt, calling it "her garden" when she could no longer get out and enjoy her own. The material needs for each print are small enough to make this a great de-stasher for your fabric leftovers! You will need 9 prints for the 9-patch and large blocks, and two other prints for the connecting strips and corners. Material needs are based on 44" wide fabric.
