What are you most proud of? That I designed it myself without a pattern, because I refused to spend 40 dollars for the only pattern I could find. I also love the way the colors blend.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Go for it. It was very easy to do.

Beautiful. You are brave. Seems like you might have a little cottage industry in the making. I have a friend in the religious community who has some of the most gorgeous fabrics I have ever seen made into special robes for holidays

We shall see if any of those 10 actually call me! Since I teach, my time is very limited from Aug-May. I made the stole in the summer! It would be fun, though, especially as I am nearing retirement.

Beautiful! I like you have a friend who was just ordained. I would love to make her one just like this. I am guessing the stole in 4 1/2 inches. Where did you find the French braid pattern that size or did you just cut it down?

I believe that the strips were 4-1/2 and 5-1/2 inches wide before trimming. I used a square to start the braid, and a square to attach the 2 ends together. I believe I made it the same size as in the book. I'm leaving for vaca in an hour; if you need more info, message me and I'll answer when I get back.

This is lovely! What pattern did you use? Thank you

Thanks! I didn't have a pattern. I saw a French Braid and since it fit what I had in mind, which was to use all the liturgical colors except white, I went with that. I couldn't find a pattern for any kind of quilted stole anywhere.
