Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. Please tell me what is wrong with this portrait. I feel that the eyes and mouth are not ok. It is a watercolor so it is harder to correct. I just started your class. I completed this portrait before I took your class so I understand some concepts much better now. Regardless please let me know if it is possible to make some corrections to my portrait. Thanks.

I think this is great. Kids portraits are really challenging because their skin is so perfect. I think if you exaggerated the light on the left side it might correct what you're talking about. And also the bottom lip, the outer parts on the bottom usually blend a little more. But bravo on the whole thing. I understand this struggle. !!

Jessica: I will try to soften the lip, that should be no problem to fix.

The lighting is wonderful, check your spacing on the length between nose & lips, also too wide left cheek (on right side of portrait). Bring edge of blue in to slim face, shorten chin.

Hi Deb: Thanks for your input. At this point I think I am not going to touch this anymore. I will do another one and take your suggestions in consideration. Thanks again.

I love it. I would not change much. A child's is round. Do not bring in that cheek per other comment. Proportions are right on for a child.mithink you are very talented!
