I have been making bags like this for years thanks to my daughter showing me how to make them. I have met so many people while working on them in airports and the like. They are so durable and great conversation pieces! I love the colors you used. It is a brilliant way to recycle. Although I put out an email at work that I needed bags and one person had been saving them for 7 years!!! So, be careful:-)

I was at a craft show and bought one of these bags. The lady that made them added a strand of yarn with her plarn. I absolutely love this bag. It is a little bigger than your pattern. I take it to the grocery store and you can LOAD it up. Very sturdy. I crochet and decided to make one. I made the plarn without any difficulty, but when I tried crocheting it I had a very hard time crocheting the plarn. I found it very hard pulling my hook through. I was using a P plastic hook. I was unable to do it as my left hand started hurting just from pulling that hook through. Do you use a metal hook and if not do you think that would help? I would love to be able to make these. Thanks for your input
