What materials did you use? I used a bright yellow wool tweed and a fuchsia lining.

What are you most proud of? My hem!!! It drove me crazy and I tried it three different ways. I was working with very thick fabric, a slippery underlining, and frayed edges from both. I eventually ended up with using hem lace, which I should have done from the beginning. Oh, and matching my plaid....

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use fabrics you know how to work with! No, not would good for me to step out of my comfort zone of cotton and try something new. I'm proud of the fact that I figured it out on my own. This is my best finished product inside and out. Read more at:

Thank you, Anne! It was a bear to work with such thick fabric since it was new to me.

What a great job you did on the matching and the hem. It looks beautiful and it's a great length on you. I hope you win a prize!

Thank you! I doubt I win anything but a girl can dream, right? There is some stiff competition out there :)
