What materials did you use? Aida 18 Ct DMC threads as per pattern Beads

What are you most proud of? That I completed it and had it framed the week before the wedding!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you can, give yourself time, it takes longer than you think - it took me over 4 months of intensive stitching. The original calls for it to be done on 32 ct linen. Since there are minimal fractional stitches, you can get away with doing it on 18 ct aida - and it saves you going mad if you dont like working on Linen. Sit in plenty of light where and when you can - there are multiple colours of white in this, and lots of small beads on the hem. Not good around small children!

I did this exact pattern for my best friend's wedding ... I did it on a light moss green linen that was absolutely gorgeous but it was a HUGE project ... I estimate it was close to 500 hours because I remember stopping at 420 and I still had a lot of finishing work to do, including all those beads that had to be attached along the bottom of the dress. But it was worth it ... unfortunately though, it was like my baby and I didn't want to give it away after all that work ... but I did :(
