What materials did you use? Cotton sateen, cotton for interlining (cut on the bias so it has some stretch) and cotton sateen lining (which is too heavy but I couldn't find anything else with the right stretch to line it with!) I used McCalls M6162 as the pattern as the class pattern took to long to get to Aus and I was dying to get started!

What are you most proud of? My first attempt at Couture looks pretty good!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? The slow sewing nature of Couture is what made it so enjoyable. I rush too much usually, it was lovely to work slowly.

Congratulations on your first post. Your couture dress is very pretty. The added efforts of couture techniques used can be seen in your final dress. Wasn't Susan a fabulous teacher. Do you have plans for a next project?
