What are you most proud of? How the project turned out, The bride was Happy that she had a Groom's cake for her beloved... and he loved the cake as did most of the guys at the reception

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you have a idea in your head, go for it, don't be afraid to try something new. This is the first time I had made a tackle box and I think it turned out really good. I might also add that I am not a professional decorator, I have never taken a class, I have made family cakes for years and I am not afraid to try something different...

This is amazing, you are very creative. I would like to make this for my parents. They love to go fishing...

How did you make the lid??

The lid is cake,I cute a cardboard cake square to the size of the bottom cake, cut a sheet cake to fit the cardboard, applied buttercream and fondant icings... added fondant handle and trims.. used two wooden dowels placed in the bottom cake and set the lid in place. since the dowels were set back they don't show once you place the tackle and gummy worm bait in the box. You can use the same technique for any style lid... I used it once on a treasure chest.
