Yes, I made this cake. It it a double layer 9" round cake. The filling is buttercream, but you can use whatever you would like. To ice the sides, I used a large spatula to roughly cover a section of the cake. Then working in a continuous up and down motion I smoothed out the section. Repeat this until side is done, not worrying if it builds up and over the top. Add icing to top and then in a "c" motion smooth out icing on top, incorporating anything pushed over from the sides. Hope that helps!
