What materials did you use? Dusty rose jersey knit

What are you most proud of? How fast I whipped this up. I cut it out last night and stitched the shoulders and neckline. Then this morning, with a cup of coffee, I finished the dress in what seemed like no time! The finished dress is very cozy, I'm sure I'll wear it lots.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a very easy, flattering dress, give it a try!

Wow that came out great! It motivates me to try this pattern asap! Can you tell me what kind of fabric you used and where you got it? I am new to shopping for knit fabrics :)

Thanks! I got this cotton jersey from fashion fabrics club (online). I just searched for cotton jersey on the site. Two other great sources I've been using are, their Laguna jersey is excellent, and Girl Charlee is another excellent website for knits. I think for this dress you would be looking for cotton jersey with a small amount of Lycra (or spandex) to help with stretch ability and recovery. Good luck on your dress! Can't wait to see. :)

Looks truly great! I'm almost finished the scoop neck tee for this class, looking forward to this dress too. May I ask: are you wearing a shirt/cami or did you sew a piece into e front?

It's a pink cami. I also made a gray Surplice dress with a longer hem, but have been lazy about taking a photo. Good luck on your dress! :)

very look great and love the color...but is the hem not finished?..cannot tell from this pic. You did an excellent job! I know some do not hem knits as they do not ravel...but I do like the look of a finished hem..especially with twin needles.

Yes, you have a keen eye! I usually use my coverstitch machine to hem knits, but in that case I did't have 2 spools of the pink, so I went back to the store a few days later! :)

10/18/2013 Flag the cover stitch...mine has been acting up lately! but got a new sewing machine for my bday..a "Juki"...OMG amazing machine and it has the capability to do twin-needle old machine did not. So most anxious to try this out..have several knit tops cut out now. I did attach my "walking foot"....what a difference!
