Thanks Jay! I posted several pics of my process and fabric selection. A variety of scraps (many of which were 2.5" charms) were backed with wonder under fusible and then cut into wedge shapes. Chalk lines were marked as reference points when laying out my wedge units...and once I had enough shapes laid out, I ironed them into place and free motion stitched over top.
