What are you most proud of? That I was able to set such small stones.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Begin with Dianne Karg Baron's or Jorgen Greftegreff's tutorials and slightly bigger stones. 6mm stones are much easier to set, and round stones easier than other shapes. But you can use these tutorials for almost any stone shape: round, square, oval, marquise, teardrop...

I've combined two tutorials for this rings: Solitaire Faceted Ring by Jorgen Greftegreff ( you can find it on www.wire-jewelry-lessons.com) and Dianne Karg Baron's Sweetheart Ring tutorial (http://wrapturewirejewellery.on.ca/blog/2010/11/tutorial-sweetheart-ring/). I like both tutorials, but I like the combination of both best. DKB shows a much better way how to make prongs (it's easier to make them the exactly right and same -size with her tutorial), but Greftegreff's way to wrap half round wire between and on both sides of the prongs and to loop the wire around the prongs allows more control when you later bend the prongs. It's a great setting for small stones. For these rings I used a 5mm checker cut square Swiss blue topaz and a 5mm synthetic Alexandrite.
