Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Swiss buttercream was used to cover the cake and royal icing flowers were used in the arrangements.

Inside the cake is a four layer purple ombre color scheme, with the darkest layer at the bottom--progressing to a white layer at the top.

Thanks for your encouraging comments. I like the look of the icing texture which was made by using the round end of the large spatula--I think the back of a spoon would work fine as well.
