What materials did you use? My own handdyed handspun yarns. Main yarns are merino/bamboo blend spun thick and thin. There are also two art yarns, one a curly fleece spun and one an autowrapped corespun.
What are you most proud of? I love to write patterns for handspinners (since I'm a handspinner myself). This pattern requires a relatively small amount of yardage of bulkyweight handspun art yarns, the type available in huge supply on Etsy.com. Many consider these yarns to be more decoration that usable, but this is one pattern that uses them well.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use your imagination and chose your own yarns and colors for this pattern. Because I knit this with OOAK handspun yarns, it's really one of a kind, and yours will be too! Look for thick and thin bulkyweight handspun yarns on Etsy, or substitute yarns like Malabrigo Aquarelle or other thick and thin yarns. Pattern gives specific yardages for all 5 yarns. The flower pattern is included with the capelet pattern.
