What advice would you give someone starting this project? Knit goes left. Purl goes right. As long as I don't forget my alphabet, I won't forget which directions I'm going.

Good job with the first project. And you are right...teaching yourself to work in the other direction (as opposed to watching me) is really the key!

I'm still not sold on the working backwards. I've got it so I can do it, but I really don't like holding the yarn in my right hand when I'm knitting with my left. As you say, it is always there has a choice. Maybe when we get to tier three of the next project- all knitting- I'll go for it.
