What materials did you use? Cotton fabric scraps from my stash, cotton thread, insul bright, and regular batting.

What are you most proud of? I decided to deviate just a little from the class and I free motioned my design after sewing all my fabric down to the layers of batting and insul bright. I need the practice because my sewing machine and I don't see eye to eye almost 100% of the time when I'm FMQ. The next potholder I do will be the way the video instructs us to. I was just playing around.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Let go, just let it all go. Get in your comfy clothes, bust out the scrap stash and pull the fabric as you go. You'll be pleasantly surprised by what you end up with.

Thank you!! I love these potholders, super simple and quick. I can't wait to start working on the bag.

Holy Guacamole--I love your color combinations. Stopped me in my tracks and made me want to dumpster drive into my pile of fabric scraps and get down to business. Thanks for your inspiration.

Thanks Shoestring! It's fun to let it all go without planning every piece of fabric that goes into it. I was nervous at first cause I'm a planner, but this was really fun.
