What materials did you use? Medium weight cashmere poly suiting, cotton flannelette, silk dobby, hair canvas, sew in interfacing.

What are you most proud of? That the final product tho not perfect is wearable and fits me properly - and the beinging of learnig tailoring skills. The invisible pockets and the bound buttonholes, which took a day to make but I'm really pleased with them.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Choose the right fabric - this was not the right fabric at all as it was too thin and too tightly woven for making a coat. My attempt to make it "thicker" by underlining in flannellette resulted in areas with a lot of curve (collar and cuffs) forming sharp folds rather than a smooth curve. Take your time and make a muslin first to ensure a good fit - it's alot of work to produce a coat and is a waste if you cannot use the final garment.

I love the fit/style of your coat. I love the classes because they translate to any pattern. I am also using some of Susan Khalji's techniques.
