What materials did you use? This is a cross-stitch project! I purchased Poor robin's pin cushion kit, from Shepherd's Bush. The kit included cross stitch linen, silk embroidery floss, weeks dye works floss, and DMC floss. The kit also included the carrot button, pattern by Tina Herman and chenille trim. I purchased backing fabric from my local quilt shop, and pillow stuffing from Jo-Ann's.

What are you most proud of? I love how the whole thing came together. The instructions were to stitch with one thread over 32 count linen, which is finer work than I normally do. And I finished the pillow part! With cross-stitch, finishing can be a challenge. It took just as long to do the pillow as it did the front.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just dive in! I got this kit from shepherd's bush, in Ogden Utah.
