What is exciting or interesting to you about your photo(s)? I'm trying to shoot 4 lamp shades I designed for a DIY magazine. The editor suggested that I shoot them in my office, in front of the window and the sofa in the main shot, but the photos turn out way too dark, and I can't get a nice shot of all 4 lamp shades in one shot.

Can you tell us about any special equipment or techniques that you used? Small tripod.

These are gorgeous! I love the way you've photographed them! I especially love how you used them in a "real" setting with the couch and your gorgeous book shelves. I was photographing some yarn that was back lit and it kept coming out too dark so I turned on my flash and used a diffuser to soften the light emitted and it really helped a lot.

Thank you for your comment Bren. I redid the photos after some advice from Caro. I wasn't completely satisfied, but the magazine that are using them said they were nice, and I've learned a lot, so I'm hoping next time will be better. I'll practice with the flash.

I'd like to know how you made the shades!
