What are you most proud of? The topstitching! I had been dissatisfied with my results and the lack of professional look before.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I am an experienced seamstress, and someone newer should absolutely start with an easier fabric to work with. Denim, or a twill would be an easier fabric to work with or even a wool or wool blend. It would lend an unusual look and be very stylish at the same time.

I really like the jean style jacket and plan to make a few more of them in different fabric choices. There are no fasteners on this jacket as yet - and with the brocade - I may just leave them off!

FABulous fabric choice! I agree that you do not even need closures other than the sleeve cuffs. I did this jacket in red home dec fabric and wear it without closures, except for snaps on the cuffs. Can't wait to make this jacket over and over again with different fabrics. GREAT job Minx!
