What materials did you use? 100 % cotton. All fabrics from my sewing room. Greys for the star centres, lots of different fabrics for the fan/star blades, multicoloured scraps for centers and all black/grey combos for the fan points and half square triangle borders. Tried to stay true to the quilt along design as much as possible.
What are you most proud of? I love the way all the colors came together and made such a bold, bright and unique quilt.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't panic and think its too hard to make. Most important thing is to make sure the fan blades are square before you sew them to the white background rectangles. Just try it. I made it without the pattern just following the quilt along instructions making one block per day. It was so exciting to see what each block would look like when it was sewn together.
