What materials did you use? Hand dyed cottons batik fabrics pearl cotton #3 beads and more beads hand and machine sewing equipment backing and batting

What are you most proud of? The way the beads follow the color changes in the fabric and enhance the effect.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't make the piece too big. I had to cut mine smaller because I ran out of the right color beads.

Jean - what courses or books or resources were helpful for you in developing your skills? They are so unique, and I am starting to move towards this style of quilting. Enamoured at the moment with landscape quilting, and about to attempt my first confetti attempt. Sue

Thank you Sue. I've taken 2 Ann Peterson classes about machine quilting and Judith Trager's Art Quilt backgrounds, but mostly it's just taking ideas from nature around me and jumping in and doing it. Good luck!
