What are you most proud of? The red tread that I used for fancy stitch on bag and straps. It turned out quite nice and made the bag exceptional, I think.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Follow basic directions, I used material I had in my stach. The top zipper was sewn on the outside of the bag with read tread. ( the orginal instructions said to use velcro inside top of bag) I like the zippers. The lining is only sewed to the top of bag and not quilted to the front of bag. The 3 1/2" s I cut our of bottom corners, make the bag almost square at the bottom when sewn together. My containers fit better in this size bag.

I love the bag and the fabric looks so familiar. Great job.

Thank you. We must shop in the same stores, eh? I have seen you had a project with the same fabric, My husband sujested the red thread for the quilting on the ban and I though it was a good idea. My granddaughter loves the bag!!!

I am making a large tote bag now and wondered what to use on the straps. After seeing your decorative stitches I am inspired! Such a lovely job.

I did use a firm interfacing on the straps, and one of the fancy stitches on my sewing machine. The thread I used was 50 wieght , whiich is what most thread is unless you buy a heaver one like 30 weight. I get my thread from conectingthreads.com If I order more that $50.00 it only cost me $7.00 shipping. I love the colors they have and the quality.
