|Here are some details about my project:|
What materials did you use? An eyelash yarn which I found easier to knit than the twisted yarn I used for my first bear. You can see how different the bears look when made from different types of yarn (and using different needle sizes).
What are you most proud of? Her ears are plain yarn on the front and hairy on the back. I was not keen to have them hairy all over as I thought they might get "lost" among the hair on her head. I also did not want to make her ears completely from plain yarn, so arrived at the choice I made.
What advice would you give someone starting this project? It is much easier to sew the body parts together if you use a curved needle. It will poke through one body part and out of the other much more easily than a straight needle. This was especially good when sewing the head onto the body. I had a curved needle in my sewing kit from when I used to sew bears, but I recently bought another one, so they are still available.
