What materials did you use? Cotton fabric for background, backing and binding and scraps of fabric for flowers and hearts.

What are you most proud of? I like that this mug rug says 'FUN'. It is full of colour. Also, I have attached a small hanging sleeve to the back (instructions included in the pattern) so I can hang it above my worktable when I am using a different mug rug. Pretty and functional - you can't get better than that.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make it really pretty and hang it. Every home has a place for a little quiltie like this. I also think this will make an ideal gift with a bouquet of flowers or a pot plant. Note: You don't have to attach a hanging sleeve if you don't want though it sits just under the binding at the top and does not affect the functionality of the mug rug.

Thank you - this is always nice to hear as I design things I like and tastes differ so much - I am never sure if they will be well received. The good thing with mug rugs is you can experiment with colour so most of my patterns should suit all tastes. This particularly pattern makes a great gift with a pot plant or vase of flowers, for Mother's Day too - it is the perfect size.

I have made a couple of these already along with some of the others you have in your gallery...It is a nice change from making large doing them either by hand or machine...You are a very talented lady thank you
