Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Satin ice gumpaste Crystal colors on

What are you most proud of? I did not have an hydrangea cutter. I used the filler flower segment to make the hydrangea petals. bigger ball, press a little flat, cut 4 petals and pinch and press into shape. I used a hand tool (the pointy star shaped on the ends one) layed on its side to get the vein look. on

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Dive right in and practice, practice, practice. There is nothing to be afraid of. If you don't like something, roll it up and try again. on

Very pretty!!! Your hydrangeas without the cutter turned out really well - I'm impressed. It just shows there's always more than one way to do something... The overall look is beautiful.
