That is very cute! Do you think I could make it heavy enough for a Kindle Fire? I have a case, but it would be nice to have a handle. :-)

This is a very nice bag. The pen pocket is very useful. I don't see why you couldn't use a heavier fabric. I would measure the Kindle and adjust the pattern to fit it. Then add a light quilt batting and lining for protection, reinforce the seams and add an adjustable long handle for the shoulder or cross-body. Maybe I should use your idea for my tablet :-)
