What are you most proud of? I thought the coasters were a bit too bumpy after I made them, so I blocked them, and they came out much flatter. No problem standing a glass on them now.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I used to resist blocking because I thought it was too time-consuming. But after HAVING to do it on a few items, I realized it is well worth the effort (which really isn't all that much). I now block most of my crocheted items because I like them to have that crisp, professional look.

Thanks for sharing. I play cards once a month with a group of ladies and these will be great token gifts when it is my turn to host the party.

These are lovely. Can you explain what "blocking" is please?

Blocking is the process of wetting a project (usually with water) then removing excess water (for example, by rolling it in a towel), then laying it out on a towel and shaping it (or sometimes pinning it to a blocking board or other surface), and letting it dry.
