What are you most proud of? I thought the coasters were a bit too bumpy after I made them, so I blocked them, and they came out much flatter. No problem standing a glass on them now.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I used to resist blocking because I thought it was too time-consuming. But after HAVING to do it on a few items, I realized it is well worth the effort (which really isn't all that much). I now block most of my crocheted items because I like them to have that crisp, professional look.

Love them and so colourful. Please can someone tell me what "Blocking" them is??

Blocking is wetting the item with water, then laying it flat and shaping it. Sometimes I pin it to a blocking board, sometimes I lay it on a towel. Then when it has air dried, the item has a perfectly shaped appearance.

Very Pretty. Nice for spring drinks!

This is an old fashioned design really. originally used as a dressing table mat --in three sizes. 2 small and one centre one. I personally like to use them still--they preserve the surface of polished tables etc..
