What are you most proud of? Did not like warping the loom really struggled. I had a hard time seeing the heddles and getting the threads in the correct position. The beater Bar 12 dent was difficult. I would miss a dent. I tripled checked my work before going forward in this area. I took all the hedldles off the loom and used finger nail polish to paint each heddle with the correct shaft. The warping board, choosing colors, pulling in the warp was fine and fun. The actual weaving is really fun and to try out new drafts. I own a 20" Schact Table Loom that I got used for $200.00. I did not want to get a really good loom because I did not know how much I would like weaving. I still need to weave more to see what my future will be. I do own a RH Loom that is 32" and do plain weave on that. I took a Craftsy Rigid Heddle Weaving with Angela Tong . She is an excellent teacher as well.. I really wished there was a class on the cones the yarn weight. That is still a bit confusing to me.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Start with inexpensive equipment to see if this is a hobby you would love before investing a lot of money into it. It is also great to know a wood worker friend. My friend's son made my warping board and my husband made a rattle. As for the loom, look at Ravery to buy a used one. I found mine on Craig's List.

I love this! I like the irregular stripes (not much for symmetry in weaving, me) and all the different twill patterns.

Thanks Janet. You are super. Really enjoyed your class. I hope you can teach more. A class on yarn weights and what that means would help. I am a knitter and weavers language of yarn makes little sense to me.
