What materials did you use? Polar fleece for pillow and elephant appliqu, quilting cotton scrap for ear, quilting cotton for inner pillow form, polyester fiber fill for stuffing, 7inch zipper.

What are you most proud of? I have a zipper complex, but I needed to make the pillowcase washable since little sprouts don't tend to be spill resistant. I watched a YouTube video made by Brett Bara for her Sewing in a Straight Line book. Easy-peasy.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make up your own rules.

Hi! I hand drew the elephant based on a friend's fabric sample. It was pretty easy since the shape is simple. I drew right on brown craft paper and used that as the pattern. Try Googling elephant clip art to use as a template. There are a lot of copyright free images on the internet. Good luck!

Hi and thanks! It was so much fun to make, and it was a small enough project to use up some of my scraps. I didn't have to buy anything for this project, and I got to practice sewing zippers.
