Here are some details about my project:
Category Quilting
Type Home Decor
Style Casual, Traditional

What materials did you use? Cotton fabrics, Aurifil thread for piecing & Bottomline & Isacord threads for quilting

What are you most proud of? The blocks look pretty good with only 4 gray fabrics & 5 gold fabrics. The quilting looks OK especially after getting all crinkly after washing (hides a bunch of shaky lines!)

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Cut & piece carefully! Besides the stitch in the ditch quilting (all Cindy Needham's fault!), the rest of the quilting came from the Dot to Dot class.

Hi Darns - your work just keeps getting better and better. I'm always keen to see what you come up with next and you never disappoint. The variety of colours and styles in your work is so refreshing and this one is just beautiful. You are such an inspiration - thank you for continuing to share your passion.

Thanks a lot! I love trying something new. I've only ever made one quilt twice. I definitely wouldn't do this one again - too many flying geese & half-square triangles! Still burned out on them!

Your quilt is lovely! I made mine out of scraps from the civil war BOM that I made, can't think of the name of it. I loved making this quilt because it honed my skills on HSQ Triangles and more. I learned so much from Kay. One thing that stuck was the geese are always laying flat and that has really helped with pressing skills. I haven't quilted this yet, maybe soon. I'll want to keep it to remember the process! I may even remake another with different colors like you did!

Thank you! You're brave! One Civil War sampler is enough for me! Too many pieces!

I am delighted with your color choice - - it is very refreshing to see the changes you made. I love to see how different everyone makes their quilt

Thank you, Kaye! It was a great class even though there were so many pieces to some of the blocks! This quilt was my attempt to try a non-traditional color scheme for traditional blocks.

Thank you, KristenMG! This was fun but a little tedious with all the half square triangles.
